Jumpstart is a pre-college visual and performing arts program sponsored by the Department of Art at Oregon State University. The program invites 15-18 year old high school students to participate in an intensive three-week set of classes. In a few days, I am giving a talk about artists who contextualize their work in traditionally non-art venues, as it relates to or inspires my own work.
